How to File a Zero Hour Report in EPRLive
A Zero Hour Report is used when there was no payroll activity or no hours to report for a selected work month/reporting period, but the employer still needs to submit a report to satisfy the reporting requirement.
There are two ways to file a Zero Hour Report:
- Use the Zero Hour button
- Manually file a Zero Hour Report
File a Zero Hour Report using the Zero Hour button
- Go to Payroll Reporting > File Payroll Reports.
- Under Due Reports, identify the correct Report Period for your agreement.
- Click the Zero Hour button.
- When prompted, select OK to confirm that you want to file a Zero Hour Report.
EPRLive automatically checks out, submits, and files the report.
Manually file a Zero Hour Report
- Go to Payroll Reporting > File Payroll Reports.
- Under Due Reports, select the correct Report Period for your agreement by clicking the corresponding MM/YYYY link.
- Verify that there are no hours, wages, or benefits entered in the report.
- Complete Checkout and select Submit Report to finalize the report.
Notes
- Verify that you selected the correct Report Period and agreement before filing the report.
- If you use the Zero Hour button, EPRLive automatically checks out, submits, and files the report.
- If you manually file a Zero Hour Report, you must complete Checkout and select Submit Report to fulfill the reporting requirement.
- If no hours were worked for the period, do not enter hours, wages, or benefits on the report.
- If you need to correct a processed Zero Hour Report, you must file an amendment. For more information, see the Filing Amendments article.
