Employer Electable Benefits
Employer Electable Benefits are benefits that can be elected at the employer level in EPRLive.
Common examples of these benefits are NECA and NLMCC; where some employers filing a report will pay the benefit, but others should not.
Only Site Sponsors may change the election status (and set override rates) for these benefits.
To Edit an Employer Electable Benefit:
- Navigate to the Employer's Profile by clicking on their company name from your Employer Roster.
- Click the Benefit Elections tab.
- To turn on the benefit—check the box under the Elected column.
- To turn off the benefit—uncheck the Elected box in the row with the blue check box.
- Enter an effective start date (and override rate or end date if necessary).
- Click Save.
When manually editing Employer Electable benefits, please note:
- Any benefit that has previously been elected will have 2 rows. If a benefit has 2 rows, the 1st row will always be the current benefit election information. The 2nd row is for making changes.
- Start dates should be set to the first day of the month, and end dates should be set to the last day of the month.
- All dates should have an mm/dd/yyyy format.
- For the full history of elected benefits, check the Show election history box at the top of the Benefit Elections tab.
- You may only set a benefit as Employer Electable when creating a new benefit in the Benefit Editor.
