How to Setup Multi-Factor Authentication in EPRLive (MFA)
Users may now enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for their user login account in EPRLive.
To enable MFA:
- Log into EPRLive and click on your initials in the top right corner of any page.
- Click Profile
- Click Security
- Click the Set Up MFA button.
- User will choose the default verification method to log into EPRLive. Authenticator App is the preferred method that will be identified herein; select and click Next.
- In the Configure Authenticator App screen, scan the QR Code using the required app. Click Next.
- The key is able to be entered manually if you are not able to scan the QR Code.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app to verify your MFA setup. Click Next.
- In the Configure Authenticator App screen, scan the QR Code using the required app. Click Next.
- Once the Authenticator App has been set, user will select a secondary Multi-Factor Authentication recovery method and click Next.
- SMS Text Message and Voice Call are able to be selected and verified without additional security details entered.
- In order to use the Email option, users will need to complete additional security questions prior to configuring and verifying their email address.
- After enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), user will be prompted to enter the 6-digit code from the authenticator app upon logging into EPRLive.
- If the device containing the authenticator app is not immediately available, user may opt to Try another method: this will be the secondary recovery option selected upon setup.
- User may also select to check the box to trust their device for 30 days and skip MFA upon login. (This is not advisable on a public or shared device. )
